McClatchy is a media company focused on local journalism, digital storytelling, and community engagement, with a history dating back to 1857. Through its network of local media brands, McClatchy delivers news, insights, and marketing solutions designed to connect and inform communities across the country.
Project Overview
We supported a comprehensive redesign and content migration for the McClatchy website, focusing on modernizing the brand presentation, improving template consistency, and creating a more flexible content structure. The project included building a new publications system with custom fields for logos, categories, links, descriptions, media kits, and social profiles.
The redesign also included major front-end updates across navigation, typography, spacing, animations, and reusable page templates. Dynamic content was implemented across homepage sections, publication pages, market pages, leadership layouts, and news-related areas to make the site easier to manage and more consistent across sections.
